Salary: Circa £50,000 plus Bonus and Company Vehicle
Overview:
Join a leading manufacturer in the packaging industry, catering to diverse sectors including FMCG, food and beverages, HORECA, agriculture, industrial manufacturing, logistics, and medical. This role involves managing existing key accounts while also pursuing new business opportunities across the UK and potentially beyond.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and cultivate leads for potential users of packaging solutions.
- Engage with manufacturing facilities to obtain pricing, conduct testing, and establish profit margins.
- Drive the conversion of sales leads into viable prospects and customers.
- Collaborate with the sales team to ensure ongoing sales support.
- Coordinate with product managers for customer visits as necessary.
- Process purchase orders and liaise with customer service for updates.
- Conduct regular in-person visits to customers and maintain follow-ups with potential clients.
- Analyze data related to targeted products and propose pricing strategies.
- Set sales forecasts and annual budgets in collaboration with senior sales management.
- Monitor unmet sales forecasts in conjunction with senior sales managers.
- Develop a marketing expansion strategy and achieve targets based on projected prospects.
- Conduct competitive analysis, updating and evaluating competitors' profiles and offerings.
- Equip the sales team with product knowledge and effective communication strategies.
- Stay informed on the latest trends, technologies, and processes in the packaging industry.
Qualifications:
Fluency in English at a business level (both written and spoken) is essential. Proficiency in additional European languages such as French, Dutch, German, Spanish, or Italian is advantageous. Candidates should have experience in the sales of flexible packaging products across various sectors including food service, industrial, agricultural, and hygiene. A self-motivated individual with a proactive approach to driving sales growth in the designated region is preferred. Being a team player, adaptable, and dynamic are key attributes for success in this role.
Travel Requirements:
Willingness to travel within the UK and Ireland on a weekly basis (approximately 50% of the time).
Compensation:
The position offers a competitive salary of circa £50,000, along with performance-based bonuses and a company vehicle.
