Construction Materials Inspector

We are recruiting for a Materials Quality Control Specialist to join our Readymix Technical Team. This role is both site and laboratory-based, requiring the ability to work with the Technical Manager to ensure quality control standards are met.
The ideal candidate will have an understanding of civil engineering materials, materials testing, and site construction operations. They will be responsible for organizing and undertaking technical testing, ensuring that test regimes and workload are met in compliance with Company systems.
A key aspect of this role is supporting the investigation and resolution of quality issues, advising operations and Site Teams of results, and suggesting actions for improvement. The successful applicant will also be responsible for ensuring that testing procedures are fully documented, understood, and communicated to comply with company standards.
This role offers a competitive salary of £40,000 - £50,000 per annum, depending on experience. Additional benefits include a contributory pension scheme, enhanced holiday entitlement, and access to the Tarmac Reward website with discounts on retailers and holidays.
