An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a leading packaging distribution business, serving the beverage, food, personal care, pharmaceutical, household care, and industrial markets. This role will focus on the spirits market and involve a mix of new business and account management in the Southwest, requiring travel due to the nature of the role.
Key Responsibilities- Organically grow existing business and generate new business opportunities.
- Manage a portfolio of customers, equating to £4,000,000 - £5,000,000 in revenue.
- Visit major accounts on a weekly basis to understand their needs and requirements.
- Develop new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, partnerships, services, and commercial follow-up of UK customers and expansion into targeted markets.
- Contribute to the development of the sales budget, monitor revenue and margins, and promote the company image.
- Conduct weekly reports on customer visits, pipeline, sales projections, and provide excellent communication channels internally and externally.
- A minimum of 3-6 years of experience in packaging and the specified markets.
- Experience in setting short, medium, and long-term new business targets and a strategic approach to the role.
- Ability to manage a portfolio of £3,000,000 - £5,000,000 and hit sales targets of £250,000 - £500,000.
- Strong understanding of the UK market and ability to develop new business opportunities and build on successes.
- Nurturing existing accounts and improving gross margins.
- Business relationships and customer service skills.
- Interest in the technical dimension of products.
