Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapies Professional Development Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapies (SACT) educator to join our team as a Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapies Professional Development Specialist.
Job Description:
This is an exciting opportunity to lead in the delivery of SACT education and training, working closely with the Lead Chemotherapy Nurse and the Lead Cancer Nurse. You will promote a positive and creative culture of learning and staff development, supporting colleagues in the development of knowledge and skills through acting as an assessor, teacher, mentor, and facilitator.
Key Responsibilities:
- Education and Training: Deliver high-quality education and training programs for SACT trained members of staff
- Guidelines and Policies: Participate in the formulation of clinical guidelines and policies, providing research-based information to the process
- Competency Maintenance: Maintain the annual SACT competencies for registered nursing staff on Infusion Suite and Haematology Day Unit
- Staff Development: Support staff with their ongoing professional development and provide consultancy support for managers and staff offering advice and guidance on education and training issues relating to SACT
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A UKONS Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapies assessor qualification
- Professional registration with NMC
- PG Cert in Education for Healthcare Professionals
- 1 year experience in teaching in a clinical area
- Extensive experience in management of CVADs
