Systems Development Specialist

Job Description:
As a Systems Development Specialist at QinetiQ Limited, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing systems and payloads for unmanned target aircraft. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities.
Main Responsibilities:
- Developing system architecture and documentation.
- Resolving technical issues during development, testing, and certification processes.
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of the System Engineering/Design Process.
- Participating in risk assessments, safety analysis, and design reviews.
Requirements:
- Experience with testing, evaluation, and acceptance of products within an ISO 9001 environment.
- Ability to produce inspection and testing plans, and coordinate testing activities with stakeholders.
- Knowledge of flight control systems and navigation systems, as applied to unmanned target systems.
- Relevant industry experience and knowledge of systems engineering principles.
Salary and Benefits:
The salary for this position is estimated to be around £65,000 - £85,000 per annum, depending on experience. We offer a competitive benefits package, including flexible working arrangements and opportunities for professional development.
Qualifications and Experience:
A degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical, Aviation, or Systems Engineering related technical discipline is required. Relevant industry experience and knowledge of systems engineering principles are also essential.
