Deputy Chef Manager Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Chef Manager to join our team at Hampshire County Council. As a Deputy Chef Manager, you will play a key role in the success of our catering service, working closely with the Chef Manager to deliver high-quality food to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Chef Manager in running the kitchen, ensuring that food is prepared to the highest standards.
  • Supervise and train kitchen staff to maintain high levels of service and quality.
  • Contribute to the development of menus and recipes to meet the needs of our customers.
  • Ensure that all health and safety procedures are followed, and that the kitchen is maintained in a clean and hygienic condition.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a similar role, with a strong background in food preparation and kitchen management.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and train staff.
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene procedures, with the ability to maintain high standards in the kitchen.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, with a flexible approach to working hours.
