Deputy Chef Manager Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Chef Manager to join our team at Hampshire County Council. As a Deputy Chef Manager, you will play a key role in the success of our catering service, working closely with the Chef Manager to deliver high-quality food to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Chef Manager in running the kitchen, ensuring that food is prepared to the highest standards.
  • Work collaboratively with the catering team to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Develop and implement new menu ideas and recipes to meet the needs of our customers.
  • Manage inventory and supplies, ensuring that we have the necessary resources to deliver our service.
  • Contribute to the development of our catering team, providing guidance and support to colleagues.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a similar role, with a strong background in food preparation and kitchen management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and customers.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to working hours.
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices, with a commitment to maintaining high standards.
  • Ability to develop and implement new ideas and initiatives, with a focus on continuous improvement.
