We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Peripatetic Residential Childcare Worker to join our dynamic team at The Talent Hub. This role involves working across multiple residential children's homes in Durham, Thornley, and Sunderland, providing high-quality care and support to children and young people with emotional, behavioural, and developmental needs.

**Job Summary:**

This is a challenging yet rewarding opportunity for an experienced child care professional to make a positive impact on the lives of vulnerable young people.

**Key Responsibilities:**

• Provide nurturing care and support to children and young people in residential settings.

• Establish and maintain positive relationships with children and young people, promoting their emotional and physical well-being.

• Work collaboratively with staff teams across various homes to ensure continuity and stability in care.

• Implement individual care plans and contribute to their development, ensuring they meet the needs and goals of each child.

• Support children and young people in daily routines, including educational and recreational activities.

• Manage challenging behaviours with appropriate interventions and strategies.

• Maintain accurate records and reports in accordance with regulatory and organizational standards.

• Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.

• Ensure the safety and security of all children and young people, adhering to safeguarding policies and procedures.

**Requirements:**

• Previous experience in residential childcare or a related field is essential.

• A relevant qualification in childcare or social care (e.g., NVQ Level 3 in Children and Young People's Workforce or equivalent).

• A valid driving license and willingness to travel between homes.

• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

**Salary:** £25,000 - £30,000 per annum.
