Job Title: Senior Manager Data Centre Operations

We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager to lead our Data Centre Operations team in Gloucester. As a key member of our site engineering team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality technical and operational services to our client's critical Data Centre facility.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical and operational leadership to the Data Centre team, ensuring effective service delivery and compliance with health and safety, technical, and financial requirements.
  • Develop and implement personal development and succession plans to drive a culture of continuous improvement and team development.
  • Manage reactive engineering spend within the Data Centre Operation, aligning with budget expectations and working closely with the UK Critical Engineering Lead.
  • Support the supply chain review process and contribute to the UK Wide Engineering Supply Chain strategy.
  • Lead the onsite implementation of the Optima Critical Governance Manual, providing technical support to the production and implementation of CEOP, EOP, SOP, SMP, and Scenario Training.
About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team and contribute to the delivery of high-quality technical and operational services to our client's critical Data Centre facility. As a Senior Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of 16 Shift Engineers and a small soft services team, with a total of 23 members of staff in the operations.

You will be responsible for ensuring effective service delivery, taking into account health and safety, technical compliance, finance, and operational matters. You will also be responsible for providing technical and operational leadership to the Data Centre team, including engineering, building fabric, cleaning, catering, and landscaping services.

The site consists of 3 Data Halls and is undergoing a period of change, with some area closures and massive M&E project upgrades. This is an exciting time to join the operation and contribute to the delivery of high-quality technical and operational services.
