About the Role

The Visitor Experience Officer will play a key role in delivering an exciting and dynamic visitor programme at the National Trust. You will work closely with colleagues to develop new and ambitious seasonal programming, seeking to inspire visitors and engage them with our work.

Your Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver key elements of our core visitor programme, including seasonal walks and volunteer-led talks and tours.
  • Manage volunteer teams, ensuring they have a great volunteering experience and are well equipped to help visitors.
  • Support the smooth running of the visitor operation as a duty manager and daily visitor experience lead.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Has experience of delivering activities within the arts, culture, heritage, natural environment, sports or visitor attraction sector.
  • Has experience of working with and supervising volunteers.
  • Has good organisational skills and the ability to time manage projects successfully.
  • Has experience of reviewing audience feedback and using it to improve the visitor offer.
  • Has good people skills and is able to work collaboratively across departments and with external partners.
