About the Role
We are seeking a Visitor Experience Officer to join our team at the National Trust. As a Visitor Experience Officer, you will be responsible for delivering an exciting and dynamic visitor programme all year round. You will work closely with the Experience and Visitor Programming Manager to develop new and ambitious seasonal programming, seeking to inspire others, engage visitors with our work, and tell our stories.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage volunteer teams, ensuring they have a great volunteering experience and are well-equipped to help visitors have a great day.
- Support the smooth running of the visitor operation as a duty manager and daily visitor experience lead, ensuring everything is working as it should and helping teams out where needed, especially on busy days.
- Develop and deliver key elements of our core visitor programme, such as seasonal walks offer and volunteer-led talks and tours.
- Work closely with teams across the property to ensure we deliver an exceptional everyday visit for all our visitors.
Requirements
- Experience of delivering activities within the arts, culture, heritage, natural environment, sports or visitor attraction sector.
- Experience of working with and supervising volunteers.
- Good organisational skills, and the ability to time manage projects successfully.
- Experience of reviewing audience feedback and using it to improve the visitor offer, including contributing to planning future events, activities and visitor programming.
- Good people skills, able to work collaboratively across departments and with external partners.
- Good communication skills, able to write well and with an understanding of the importance of visual design.
