About Us:

Mercure & ibis London Earls Court and Barnaby's Restaurant & Bar provide guests with a warm welcome, spacious and comfortable accommodation with breathtaking views of the London skyline. We are currently in an exciting process of refurbishment, aiming to shift our hotel to a four-star hotel with new branding.

Our team is looking for the right candidates to be part of this amazing project and help us evolve into a modern, stylish, and innovative 12-storey hotel.

The salary range for this role is estimated to be around £25,000 - £35,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Job Description:
  • Assist the Conference & Banqueting Operation Manager and Supervisor in preparing banquet food & beverage procedures to ensure the highest quality at all times.
  • Assist with setting up conferences and events according to function sheets.
  • Foster excellent customer service.
  • Liaise with Food & Beverage staff as required.
  • Maintain accurate records, including files on previous functions, banquet reservation books, customer contact information, sales solicitation programs, room utilization, menu files, and promotion files.
  • Follow up on business referrals and potential sales leads.
  • Handle last-minute arrangements made by clients and ensure their implementation.
  • Familiarize yourself with all phases of equipment and materials related to functions and conferences.
  • Sell hotel facilities to prospective clients.
  • E nsure that banquet service personnel have made necessary arrangements and preparations with kitchen, housekeeping, engineering, and other departments regarding function arrangements.
  • Review accounts and refer discrepancies to Conference & Banqueting Operation Supervisor.
  • Familiarize yourself with government laws pertaining to banquets, exhibitions, and outside catering to assist prospects or booked clients and ensure adherence to regulations.
