About the Role

eGain Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Business Development Manager to join our team. As a Business Development Manager, you will play a crucial role in driving our sales initiatives by qualifying inbound marketing leads.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead Qualification:
    • Qualify inbound leads using the MEDDIC framework to ensure that leads handed over to our Client Directors are of high quality and have a strong potential for conversion.
    • Research leads before introductory calls to understand their digital engagement and market position.
    • Prepare customized presentations for introductory calls.
    • Identify customer needs, pain points, and vision during calls, document details in CRM, and report weekly.
    • Nurture leads with standardized content and engagement schedules via email, LinkedIn, and calls.
    • Ensure leads meet criteria before qualifying for sales opportunities and disposition non-advancing leads in CRM.
  • Collaboration with Sales & Marketing:
    • Align with the marketing team on campaign objectives and lead generation strategies.
    • Provide feedback on lead quality.
    • Collaborate with sales on lead handover.
  • CRM Management & Reporting:
    • Maintain accurate CRM records, track lead metrics, and analyze trends to improve qualification processes.
  • Market Research & Continuous Improvement:
    • Stay updated on industry trends and participate in industry events, refining qualification strategies.
    • Continuously improve lead qualification through engagement in ongoing learning about eGain's products.
  • Pipeline Development:
    • Perform prospecting activities leveraging eGain tools to maintain pipeline.
    • Leverage channels (e.g., email, LinkedIn, phone) to perform prospecting activities.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in sales or business development, preferably in the SaaS or technology sector.
  • Strong understanding of the MEDDIC sales qualification framework.
  • Excellent communication (written and presentation), analytical, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Self-motivated with a results-driven approach.
