Job Profile

LWC Drinks Ltd is seeking an experienced Wine Specialist Account Manager to join their team. This role involves managing top wine accounts within a designated region, developing new business opportunities, and maximising wine performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and develop top wine accounts within the region
  • Deliver quality new wine business through existing or new accounts
  • Maximise wine performance by hosting key events, tastings, and training sessions
  • Support LWC wine business in Key and National accounts

New Business Initiatives:

  • Identify key wine opportunities in the region and implement a targeted plan
  • Open new wine accounts, working closely with the wider team
  • Maintain and update a live customer prospect list

Account Retention Strategy:

  • Ongoing management of top wine accounts
  • Half-yearly wine reviews with wine accounts in the region
  • Responsibility for Wine Development Plans within Key Accounts as agreed

Market Penetration:

  • Maximise wine opportunities through quarterly account reviews
  • Minimum 15 days per month in trade, including prospecting, account visits, training, and commercially building wine lists
  • Present a wine slot at each monthly depot meeting
  • Manage samples effectively

Performance Metrics and Reporting:

  • Complete weekly call logs and send them to the Line Manager
  • Attend monthly meetings with the Line Manager to discuss sales performance
  • Attend quarterly meetings with the Regional Sales Manager to discuss depot wine performance

Collaboration and Teamwork:

  • Prepare thoroughly for Management, RSM, WDM meetings, and 1:1s
  • Work closely with Depot Managers, Stock Controllers, Telesales, and the Wine Team
  • Take ownership of Regional Wine Tastings and wine-led events

Requirements:

  • Commercial experience selling wine (on-trade preferred)
  • A strong track record in sales and meeting growth targets
  • Knowledge of the wine trade and trends
  • WSET Level 3 Award in Wines
