At South West Yorkshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, we are seeking a highly skilled Children and Young Peoples Mental Health Support Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering low intensity evidenced based interventions to children and young people in both education and healthcare settings.

As part of the Mental Health Support Teams (MHSTs), Education Mental Health Practitioners (EMHPs) work collaboratively with education and multidisciplinary colleagues to support children and young people with mental ill health. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people, and vulnerable adults.

The estimated salary for this role is £28,000 - £42,000 per annum, depending on experience. If you have a relevant EMHP Post Graduate Diploma qualification and are registered and accredited with a professional body such as BPS or BABCP, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities
  • Delivering low intensity evidenced based interventions under supervision to children and young people
  • Devising and delivering group-based interventions to children and young people
  • Delivering parent-led interventions where children have a mental health need
