About the Role

The South West Yorkshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced Education Mental Health Practitioner to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about improving mental health outcomes for children and young people.

As an Education Mental Health Practitioner, you will work in partnership with education settings and healthcare services to deliver high-quality support to children and young people with mild to moderate mental health issues.

You will be responsible for delivering low-intensity evidenced-based interventions under supervision, devising and delivering group-based interventions, and providing advice and consultation to education staff. You will also develop and maintain relationships with local services and professionals to ensure seamless support for our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Delivering low-intensity evidenced-based interventions under supervision to children and young people.
  • Devising and delivering group-based interventions to children and young people.
  • Providing advice and consultation to education staff.
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with local services and professionals.

Requirements

  • Good working knowledge of nationally agreed routine outcome measures within the CYP-IAPT Programme.
  • Knowledge of children and young people gained through academic study in child development, child wellbeing or mental health.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding issues and legal framework.
  • Experience of delivery of low intensity evidenced based CBT interventions for mild to moderate mental health issues.
