Housing Support Vacancy
We are seeking a dynamic Housing Support Worker to join our team in Breckland and South Norfolk, providing person-led support to clients living in supported accommodation.
Job Details:
- Type: Temporary
- Location: Breckland and South Norfolk
- Hours: 37.5 hours per week
- Shifts: Monday to Friday; 9am – 5pm
Daily Duties:
- Work with a caseload of homeless clients to promote their independence while staying in supported accommodation.
- Deliver emotional and life skills-based support, assisting service users with day-to-day tasks.
- Complete support plans and risk assessments with the service users.
- Enforce tenancy conditions in line with procedures, including low-level anti-social behaviour and rent arrears.
- Offer specialist knowledge and insight into rent arrears, helping tenants with budgeting.
- Carry out regular estate inspections.
- Offer advice and assistance to tenants regarding their benefit entitlements.
- Provide support and advice to tenants in relation to issues concerning their tenancies.
Essential Requirements:
- An Enhanced DBS from within the last three years or the willingness to obtain one.
- Previous experience supporting vulnerable people in a support setting.
- Experience working with those with complex needs.
- A full UK Driving Licence with access to a car.
The salary for this role is estimated at £27,500 per annum, depending on experience.
