Job Overview:

This temporary Housing Support Worker position offers a unique opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of homeless individuals in Breckland and South Norfolk.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective support plans to promote the independence of clients residing in supported accommodation.
  • Provide emotional and life skills-based support to assist service users with daily tasks and promote self-sufficiency.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to address complex issues and provide holistic support to clients.
  • Enforce tenancy conditions and address low-level anti-social behaviour and rent arrears in accordance with established procedures.
  • Offer specialist knowledge and insight into rent arrears to help tenants manage their finances effectively.
  • Conduct regular estate inspections to ensure the maintenance of supported accommodation.
  • Provide expert guidance and assistance to tenants regarding their benefit entitlements.
  • Offer support and advice to tenants concerning issues related to their tenancies.

Requirements:

  • An Enhanced DBS from within the last three years or the willingness to obtain one.
  • Previous experience supporting vulnerable individuals in a supportive setting.
  • Experience working with those who have complex needs.
  • A full UK Driving Licence with access to a vehicle.

The salary for this role is estimated to be around £25,000-£30,000 per annum, depending on experience.
