Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Support Specialist to join our team in Breckland and South Norfolk. This is an exciting opportunity to work with vulnerable individuals and promote their independence while living in supported accommodation.

About the Role

This temporary position involves working with a caseload of homeless clients, delivering emotional and life skills-based support to assist them with day-to-day tasks. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting vulnerable people in a support setting and be able to enforce tenancy conditions in line with procedures.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Working with a caseload of homeless clients to promote their independence
  • Delivering emotional and life skills-based support to assist service users with day-to-day tasks
  • Complete support plans and risk assessments with the service users
  • Enforce tenancy conditions in line with procedures
  • Offer specialist knowledge and insight into rent arrears helping tenants with budgeting
  • Carry out regular estate inspections
  • Provide advice and assistance to tenants regarding their benefit entitlements
  • Support and advise tenants in relation to issues concerning their tenancies

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • An Enhanced DBS from within the last three years or the willingness to obtain one
  • Previous experience supporting vulnerable people in a support setting
  • Experience working with those with complex needs
  • A full UK Driving Licence with access to a car

Estimated Salary: £28,000 - £32,000 per annum
