About the Role:

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about supporting young people with social, emotional, and mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Provide individualised support to students facing emotional and behavioural challenges, promoting open communication and engagement.
  2. Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and parents to develop and implement personalised learning plans that cater to each student's unique needs.
  3. Utilise effective behaviour management strategies to maintain a positive learning environment and promote student wellbeing.
  4. Nurture trusting relationships with students to foster active participation and empathy.
  5. Contribute to multidisciplinary teams to track and report on student progress, identifying areas for improvement and celebrating successes.
  6. Design and lead therapeutic activities that promote emotional resilience and overall wellbeing.
Requirements:
  1. Previous experience working with young people who have experienced trauma, neglect, or abuse.
  2. Strong behaviour management skills and the capacity to manage challenging situations with compassion and professionalism.
  3. A profound understanding of mental health needs and a commitment to supporting vulnerable students.
  4. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.
  5. Desirable but not essential: relevant qualifications or training in mental health support or education.
