Young Minds Advocate

We are a specialist school near Woking dedicated to providing high-quality education and support to our students. We are seeking a dedicated advocate to support the mental health of young people.

The ideal candidate will be committed to building strong relationships and providing consistency to equip children with tools to ensure they feel safe, secure and empowered to succeed in life.

This role requires someone who is open-minded, resilient and knowledgeable about mental health with experience working with SEN children and/or adults in any setting.

Graduates in Psychology, Criminology or Counselling would also be well-suited for this position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To identify risks and needs of students and escalate where necessary
  • To provide consistent support and build strong relationships with students
  • To equip students with tools to manage their mental health and wellbeing

Requirements:

  • A commitment to supporting the mental health of young people
  • Experience working with SEN children and/or adults in any setting
  • Knowledge of mental health and wellbeing strategies
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work as part of a team
