Principal Drainage Engineer Opportunity

Penguin Recruitment Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Principal Drainage Engineer to lead their team in Poole. The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background in Engineering, including a BSc and MSc in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering, and be working towards chartered status.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development of detailed drainage and highway designs for Section 38, Section 104, and Section 278 schemes.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and deliver high-quality designs.
  • Mentor and guide junior team members to ensure their growth and development.
  • Conduct Flood Risk Assessments and designs for commercial and residential developments.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and colleagues.
Requirements:
  • Strong academic background in Engineering, including a BSc and MSc in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering.
  • Chartered status or working towards it.
  • Experience working in a UK-based consultancy, completing detailed drainage and highway designs.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microdrainage, Hec-Ras, and FEH.
