Principal Drainage Engineer Job Opportunity

Penguin Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Principal Drainage Engineer to lead their team in Poole. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned professional to take on a challenging role and contribute to the success of a reputable UK-based consultancy.

About the Role

We are looking for a Principal Drainage Engineer with a strong academic background in Engineering, including a BSc and MSc in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering. The ideal candidate will have achieved or be working towards chartered status and have extensive experience in detailed drainage and road designs using AutoCAD, Microdrainage, Hec-Ras, and FEH.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development of highway, drainage, and residential infrastructure projects.
  • Design and deliver detailed drainage and highway schemes for residential developments and housing developers.
  • Utilize AutoCAD and Microdrainage for detailed drainage and highway designs.
  • Design and implement sewer and SuDS systems using Microdrainage.
  • Conduct flood risk assessments and prepare reports.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with private sector clients, housing developers, and business associates.
