Job Title: IT Employability Tutor

LT Selection is seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Employability Tutor to join our team. As an IT Employability Tutor, you will play a crucial role in delivering engaging and innovative online teaching and learning sessions to adult learners.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and deliver high-quality online teaching and learning sessions that cater to the individual needs of learners.
  • Use initial assessments and evaluated work to inform teaching, learning, and assessment strategies.
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to ensure online safety for learners.
  • Provide effective Careers Information, Education, Advice, and Guidance (CIEAG) to learners.
  • Conduct thorough assessments and provide constructive developmental feedback to learners.
  • Deliver high-standard teaching and learning to ensure a quality learner experience.
  • Facilitate the development of broader work-related skills through job search sessions and integrated learning activities.
  • Enhance learners' digital skills and build their confidence in using ICT for daily tasks and future progression.
  • Complete all relevant documentation and records related to learners' training, progress, and achievements.
  • Integrate safeguarding practices, British values, awareness of Prevent, equality and diversity, and health and safety into the learning programme.
  • Build learners' confidence, resilience, and awareness to help them maintain mental well-being.
  • Ensure sector-specific knowledge remains current and up to date.
Requirements:
  • Strong ICT skills.
  • Proficient in online delivery platforms and tools.
  • Minimum of one year's experience in online tutoring.
  • Experience working with unemployed adults in an educational setting.
  • Ability to plan and deliver engaging, innovative, and motivational sessions.
  • Understanding of initial assessment processes and how to use the information to guide teaching, learning, and assessment.
  • Knowledge of different learning styles and the ability to differentiate using a variety of teaching methods.
  • Ability to self-motivate and inspire learners.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workloads.
  • Ability to use initiative and be adaptable in approach.
  • Effective teamwork skills.
  • Full driving licence, with national travel required.
Qualifications:
  • Recognised teaching qualification such as PGCE/Cert ED or equivalent.
  • L3 Assessor Award or equivalent.
  • GCSE Grade C in English and Maths or FS Level 2.
  • IAG Level 2 or willingness to work towards obtaining it.
