Job Title:
IT Employability Tutor (Online)

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced IT Employability Tutor to join our team at LT Selection. As an IT Employability Tutor, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and innovative online teaching and learning sessions to adult learners, helping them progress into further training or employment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver high-quality online teaching and learning sessions that cater to the individual needs of learners, promoting their personal and professional growth.
  • Use initial assessments and evaluated work to inform your teaching, ensuring that learners receive tailored support and guidance.
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to ensure online safety for learners, promoting digital literacy and awareness.
  • Provide effective Careers Information, Education, Advice, and Guidance (CIEAG) to learners, using their enrolment and induction information to inform their programme.
  • Conduct thorough assessments and provide constructive feedback to learners, helping them to improve and achieve their goals.
  • Deliver high-standard teaching and learning to ensure a quality learner experience, leading to excellent achievement and progression rates.
  • Facilitate the development of broader work-related skills, delivering supportive job search sessions and integrating work-related skills into learning activities.
  • Enhance learners' digital skills, building their confidence in using ICT for daily tasks and future progression.
  • Complete all relevant documentation and records related to learners' training, progress, and achievements accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Integrate safeguarding practices, British values, awareness of Prevent, equality and diversity, and health and safety into the learning programme.
  • Build learners' confidence, resilience, and awareness to help them maintain mental well-being.
  • Ensure that sector-specific knowledge remains current and up to date.

Requirements:

  • Strong ICT skills and proficiency in online delivery platforms and tools.
  • Minimum of one year's experience in online tutoring and teaching.
  • Experience working with unemployed adults in an educational setting.
  • Experience with roll-on/roll-off delivery.
  • Ability to plan and deliver engaging, innovative, and motivational sessions that focus on individual learner needs.
  • Understanding of initial assessment processes and how to use the information to guide teaching, learning, and assessment.
  • Knowledge of different learning styles and the ability to differentiate using a variety of teaching methods.
  • Ability to self-motivate and inspire learners.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workloads.
  • Ability to use initiative and be adaptable in approach.
  • Effective teamwork skills.
  • Full driving licence, with national travel required.

Qualifications:

  • Recognised teaching qualification such as PGCE/Cert ED or equivalent.
  • L3 Assessor Award or equivalent.
  • GCSE Grade C in English and Maths or FS Level 2.
  • IAG Level 2 or willingness to work towards obtaining it.

  • Tutoring: 1 year (preferred)
  • Teaching: 1 year (required)

Work Location:
South Yorkshire with regular travel required.
