Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced IT Employability Tutor to join our team at LT Selection. As an IT Employability Tutor, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and innovative online teaching and learning sessions to adult learners, helping them progress into further training or employment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver high-quality online teaching and learning sessions that cater to the individual needs of learners, promoting their personal and professional growth.
- Use initial assessments and evaluated work to inform your teaching, ensuring that learners receive tailored support and guidance.
- Develop and implement effective strategies to ensure online safety for learners, promoting digital literacy and awareness.
- Provide comprehensive Careers Information, Education, Advice, and Guidance (CIEAG) to learners, using their enrolment and induction information to inform their programme.
- Conduct thorough assessments and provide constructive feedback to learners, helping them improve their skills and knowledge.
- Deliver high-standard teaching and learning to ensure a quality learner experience, leading to excellent achievement and progression rates.
- Facilitate the development of broader work-related skills, delivering supportive job search sessions and integrating work-related skills into learning activities.
- Enhance learners' digital skills, building their confidence in using ICT for daily tasks and future progression.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of learners' training, progress, and achievements, including learner reviews, attendance records, and action plans.
- Integrate safeguarding practices, British values, awareness of Prevent, equality and diversity, and health and safety into the learning programme.
- Support learners' mental well-being, building their confidence and resilience.
- Stay up-to-date with sector-specific knowledge and best practices in online teaching methods.
Requirements:
- Strong ICT skills and experience with online delivery platforms and tools.
- Minimum of one year's experience in online tutoring, with a focus on adult education.
- Experience working with unemployed adults in an educational setting, with a strong understanding of initial assessment processes.
- Ability to plan and deliver engaging, innovative, and motivational sessions that cater to individual learner needs.
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise workloads and use initiative.
- Effective teamwork skills and a full driving licence, with national travel required.
- Recognised teaching qualification, such as PGCE/Cert ED or equivalent, and a Level 3 Assessor Award or equivalent.
- GCSE Grade C in English and Maths or FS Level 2, and IAG Level 2 or willingness to work towards obtaining it.
Working Arrangements:
This is a full-time, permanent position, with a base at Head Office in South Yorkshire and regular travel required across national delivery sites. All candidates must have access to their own vehicle with business insurance, with travel expenses paid fortnightly.
