Job Title:
IT Employability Tutor

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced IT Employability Tutor to join our team at LT Selection. As an IT Employability Tutor, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and innovative online teaching and learning sessions to adult learners. Your goal will be to meet the individual needs of learners and help them progress into further training or employment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver high-quality online teaching and learning sessions that cater to the diverse needs of adult learners.
  • Use initial assessments and evaluated work to inform your teaching and learning strategies.
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to ensure online safety for learners, promoting digital literacy and awareness.
  • Provide effective Careers Information, Education, Advice, and Guidance (CIEAG) to learners, using the information obtained during enrolment and induction to tailor their programs to their specific needs.
  • Conduct thorough assessments and provide constructive developmental feedback to learners, promoting their growth and development.
  • Deliver high-standard teaching and learning to ensure a quality learner experience, leading to excellent achievement and progression rates in an online environment.
  • Facilitate the development of broader work-related skills by delivering supportive job search sessions and integrating work-related skills into learning activities.
  • Enhance learners' digital skills, building their confidence in using ICT for daily tasks and future progression.
  • Complete all relevant documentation and records related to learners' training progress and achievements accurately and in a timely manner.

Requirements:

  • Strong ICT skills and proficiency in online delivery platforms and tools.
  • Minimum of one year's experience in online tutoring.
  • Experience working with unemployed adults in an educational setting.
  • Ability to plan and deliver engaging, innovative, and motivational sessions that focus on individual learner needs.
  • Understanding of initial assessment processes and how to use the information to guide teaching, learning, and assessment.
  • Knowledge of different learning styles and the ability to differentiate using a variety of teaching methods.
  • Ability to self-motivate and inspire learners.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize workloads.
  • Ability to use initiative and be adaptable in approach.
  • Effective teamwork skills.
  • Full driving license with national travel required.

Qualifications:

  • Recognized teaching qualification such as PGCE/Cert ED or equivalent.
  • L3 Assessor Award or equivalent.
  • GCSE Grade C in English and Maths or FS Level 2.
  • IAG Level 2 or willingness to work towards obtaining it.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Schedule: Monday to Friday

Education:

  • Certificate of Higher Education (preferred)

Experience:

  • Tutoring: 1 year (preferred)
  • Teaching: 1 year (required)

Work Location:
South Yorkshire with regular travel required.
