Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Children and Young People Mental Health Lead to join our team, responsible for delivering evidence-based interventions for children and young people experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties.

The successful candidate will possess a recognised postgraduate level training in a psychological therapy and be professionally registered. They will lead the low-intensity and high-intensity clinicians working within the Specialist MHST, with a focus on improving mental health and emotional wellbeing of Autistic Children and young people with or without a learning disability.

This role involves working closely with education settings, providing assessments and interventions to children and young people in need. The postholder will receive regular supervision and have opportunities to link with other specialist practitioners in the trust.

Main Responsibilities

  • Leading a team of clinicians to deliver evidence-based interventions for children and young people in education settings.
  • Developing and implementing strategies to improve mental health and emotional wellbeing of Autistic Children and young people with or without a learning disability.
  • Working with education settings to provide assessments and interventions to children and young people in need.
  • Providing effective leadership and/or management to staff, promoting high performance standards both individually and as a team.

Salary and Benefits

Estimated salary: £45,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience. The NHS offers a comprehensive benefits package, including pension scheme, annual leave, and flexible working options.
