As a key member of our customer relations team, you will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with our clients, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded through exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a liaison between customers and business operations, ensuring seamless communication and effective contract management.
  • Establish and maintain detailed contract operational objectives, working closely with operations to develop action plans that meet customer program requirements.
  • Manage adherence to program plans and schedules, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results.
  • Develop and maintain control systems and reports that accurately measure progress, including estimate and invoice schedules.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through regular reviews and feedback, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
  • Communicate impact and recovery plans to customers, ensuring transparency and open communication throughout the process.
  • Ensure contractual commitments are met regarding management of information and customer reporting.
  • Collaborate across departments to ensure customer and contractual requirements are met for production, procurement, quality control, logistics, and administrative functions.
  • Manage customer approvals for work scope changes and special purchase requests, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
  • Act as an escalation contact for customers on performance-related matters, managing customer needs to ensure satisfaction and continued business.
  • Provide alternative solutions to customers, including submission of over-and-above requests.
  • Work with operations and supply chain to develop and submit over-and-above quotations to customers.
  • Review invoices for accuracy, resolving discrepancies and disputes in a timely and professional manner.
  • Assist in the review and approval of customer proposals, ensuring alignment with company policies and procedures.
  • Develop and monitor key performance indicators for the department, ensuring continuous improvement and high-quality results.
  • Monitor and report contractual KPI performance at intervals defined within specific customer contracts.

Competencies:

Essential:

  • Strong financial acumen and prior experience with customer estimates and invoices.
  • Excellent planning, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to make sound business decisions, provide strategic advice, and implement problem-solving techniques.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including presentation skills.
  • Strong leadership and coaching skills to interact with customer services representatives and develop commercial/contract knowledge of shop floor team leaders.
  • Experience building strong working relationships with customers.
  • Strong working knowledge of PC's in the current company operating system environment, including Microsoft Office, Smartsheets, and Power BI.

Desirable:

  • Prior experience in the aviation/aerospace industry.
  • Prior experience in MoD support contracts.
