A leading UK-based recruitment agency, specialising in placing talented professionals within the machining industry.
We are currently working in partnership with a highly successful CNC Machining business that excels in Precision Engineering and Machined components across various key markets. With over £1.25million invested in capital expenditure, this is an exciting time to join the company as they expand into the Aerospace and Defence sectors.
This role offers a unique opportunity for an experienced sales professional to shape the direction of business development within these strategic industries.
**Key Responsibilities:**
* Develop and implement effective business development strategies to drive new sales growth in the Aerospace and Defence sectors
* Utilise technical knowledge of machining processes to establish relationships with key industry players and partners
* Leverage distributor status to drive business expansion
* Collaborate with internal stakeholders to create development plans and manage areas of responsibility

**Ideal Candidate:**
* Strong background in machining or machined components, or equivalent technical knowledge
* Proven track record in sales, preferably within the aerospace and defence sectors
* Excellent commercial awareness and ability to read technical drawings
* Engineering qualifications or degree preferred, or equivalent experience through apprenticeships

**Benefits Package:**
* Highly competitive salary (£60,000 - £80,000 per annum)
