We are seeking a compassionate and proactive individual to join our team as an Autism Support Assistant at a vibrant, inclusive school in Islington. As a Support Worker for Children with Autism, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational and personal development of our students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support to students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in a primary school setting
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement personalized learning plans
  • Assist with daily living skills, such as personal care and hygiene, and promote independence
  • Support students in developing social skills, emotional regulation, and behavioral strategies
  • Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and other professionals to ensure a cohesive approach to supporting students

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualifications and experience in supporting children with special needs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
