Job Title: Mental Health Education Specialist

Location: Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire

We are seeking a highly motivated and caring individual to join our team as a Mental Health Education Specialist at Academics Ltd. This is an excellent opportunity for a Psychology graduate or someone with SEN experience to work in a therapeutic setting, supporting young people with social, emotional, and mental health needs.

The role involves working in classes of 3-6 pupils with a staff-to-student ratio of 1:1, providing individualized support and education. The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in developing key and personal skills, such as sport, cooking, coding, dance, hairdressing, or photography, which can benefit the students in and out of school.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver educational programs tailored to meet the unique needs of each student
  • Provide one-to-one support and guidance to students with SEMH needs
  • Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to develop personalized learning plans

Requirements:

  • A degree in Psychology or related field (preferable)
  • Experience working with children with SEN and SEMH needs (ideal)
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • A passion for developing key and personal skills

Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
