About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior VFX Artist to join our team at Creative Assembly. As a Senior VFX Artist, you will be responsible for creating world-class visual effects for our games, working closely with art directors and other teams to ensure seamless integration.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement visual effects strategies for our games, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and performance.
  • Lead a team of VFX artists, providing guidance, mentorship, and feedback to ensure they reach their full potential.
  • Collaborate with other teams, including design, animation, and production, to ensure VFX are fully integrated into the game experience.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, identifying opportunities to improve our VFX pipeline and processes.
  • Work closely with the production team to plan and deliver VFX content on schedule and to the highest standards.

Requirements:
  • 5+ years' experience in game development, with a strong focus on VFX.
  • Expert knowledge of one or more 3D packages, including real-time VFX authoring tools.
  • Strong understanding of lighting, image processing, and colour theory.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering high-quality results under pressure.
