Job Title: Lead VFX Artist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead VFX Artist to join our team at DiverseJobsMatter. As a key member of our VFX team, you will be responsible for leading the creation of high-quality visual effects for our games.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with Art Directors to define the art style for VFX across various projects.
  • Develop and implement world-class VFX content, including previsualization, benchmarks, and visual development.
  • Lead and mentor a team of VFX artists, providing guidance and feedback to ensure high-quality results.
  • Work closely with the production team to plan and deliver VFX content on schedule and to the highest standards.
  • Research and implement emerging VFX technologies to stay competitive in the industry.
  • Collaborate with other teams, including design, animation, and graphics, to ensure seamless integration of VFX into the game experience.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in game development, with 3+ shipped titles.
  • Extensive experience with real-time VFX authoring tools.
  • Expert knowledge of 3D packages and 2D editing software.
  • Strong understanding of animation, lighting, and image processing.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
Desirable:
  • Experience leading a team and managing projects.
  • Knowledge of Unreal/Unity or other commercial engines.
  • Experience working with contractors or outsourcers.
  • Technical understanding of rendering, lighting, and physics.
