As a key member of the Commercial team at Raytheon, you will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining contractual relationships with customers, driving customer engagement strategies, and influencing innovative solutions. Your expertise in contract management and procurement principles will be essential in navigating complex commercial environments and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, including GDPR and export controls.

Every day will bring new challenges and opportunities, from dealing with internal governance and financial performance to meeting customer queries, bids, and demands across the globe. You will be the interface between the business and customer, working closely with internal stakeholders to implement contractual commitments and changes.

This role offers a unique opportunity to join Raytheon's Mission Critical Solutions business area at a time of exciting development and fast-turnaround sales opportunities. You will be based within a complex commercial environment, working on multiple contracting methodologies and programme types with a varied and international customer base.


Key Responsibilities:
• Respond to simple RFQs for standard equipment and services.
• Support the Commercial team in preparing responses to more complex Requests for Proposal/ ITT/ PQQs etc.
• Implement and manage standard agreements, such as NDA and template contracts.
• Provide support to Programme and Business Development teams throughout the prospecting and bidding process.
• Assist the business finance function in managing the invoicing and cash collection process.
• Participate in cross-functional improvement activities.
• Complete all commercial functional requirements from cradle-to-grave on supply contracts.
• Understand and comply with export controls and other relevant commercial and contract legislation.
• Work with the business teams to meet central targets and local challenges.
• Understand the policy requirements for the gate process and provide input to gate packs.

Requirements:

Essential:
• Business degree or equivalent experience.
• Ability to respond to tasks with tenacity and flexibility, while working cross-functionally in a multi-disciplinary team.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and collaborate with others.
• Eye for detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Understanding of Contract Management and Procurement principles.
• Self-motivation and independent working.
• Willingness and ability to travel occasionally within the UK.

Desirable:
• Awareness of Data Protection and other relevant commercial and contract legislation.
• Attendance at customer and supplier meetings in support of supervisor.
• Familiarity with business process management tools (IPDS, SAP or similar) and the competitive bidding process
