Key Role Summary

This is a highly valued and key role within the UK Raytheon business, supporting a functional team. As a contracts and commercial specialist, you will work as the sole expert for a significant programme, providing contractual and commercial governance to your team.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop business case briefings and financial reporting for senior reviews
  • Review and approve contracts, gates, financial changes, and other commercial documents within delegation
  • Lead contract/agreement negotiations and provide full support to the team
  • Contribute to the development, approval, and issuance of bids and proposals
  • Provide guidance on commercial risk and effective mitigation
  • Ensure processes are followed effectively and resolve commercial issues promptly
  • Drive performance through others and champion change and improvement
Requirements
  • Relevant degree or equivalent experience
  • Excellent commercial awareness, business principles, and governing law
  • Experience in all aspects of commercial and defence contracting
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to drive performance through others
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Positive, self-motivated, and able to work independently
  • A willingness and ability to travel as required
Desirable Qualifications
  • Accreditation in Commercial and Supply Chain management
  • Eligible to obtain security clearance (SC) beyond baseline personnel security standard (BPSS)
  • Strong programme management skills, including Risk Management and Programme Metrics
  • Experience of working with international suppliers or customers
