Lead a Team of Activity Coordinators

Estimated Salary: £16.50 per hour plus company benefits.

This role is full-time and may involve weekend work.

The Cinnamon Care Collection, a Top 20 Rated Care Home Group and Awarded One Of The 'UK's Best Companies To Work For', is seeking an experienced Lead Activities Co-ordinator to create engaging events and activities for residents at Eden Court, a deluxe Retirement Village in Battersea SW11.

This challenging role involves managing and coordinating the activities team, developing relationships with local businesses and organisations, and promoting the community through various media channels.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver social, mental, and physical stimulation activities for residents, aligning with the Seven Branches of Cinnamon Activities Programme.
  • Establish partnerships with local businesses, schools, and community groups to enhance the village experience.
  • Mentor and manage the activities team, address performance issues, and provide regular feedback.
  • Organise special events, such as Christmas festivities and Royal Occasions, to bring residents together.
  • Produce a monthly calendar of events for review by the General Manager using the Cinnamon Activities Calendar Template.
  • Update the Cinnamon website, social media platforms, and other promotional channels to showcase activities and engage with potential residents and their families.
  • Evaluate residents' social needs on arrival and develop tailored activity plans.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in team management.
  • Level 3 (QCF) Supporting Activities Provision qualification.
  • NAPA Qualifications & Training Areas desirable.
  • Familiarity with organising activities that enrich residents' lives.
  • Strong IT skills and proficiency in using systems.
