Full-Time SEN Teaching Position Available

Estimated Salary: £34,513 - £51,242 per annum

Smart Teachers is seeking an experienced SEN Teacher to work with a small class of students with profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD), severe learning disabilities, sensory impairments, and medical conditions.

About the Role:

This role involves developing tailored lesson plans that meet the unique needs of each student, employing strategies to support students with sensory impairments and severe learning difficulties, and managing challenging behaviors effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized educational support to students with complex communication needs
  • Collaborate with support staff and specialists to provide a structured learning environment
  • Monitor and report on student progress, adapting teaching methods to help each child achieve their potential

About You:

We are looking for someone who has Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), experience working with children who have severe or profound learning difficulties (preferable but not essential), and knowledge of Makaton, PECS, and other communication systems.
