Job Opportunity: Deputy Training Programme Director for Internal Medicine

We are seeking an exceptional individual to join our team as Deputy Training Programme Director for Internal Medicine. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of medical education and training.

About the Role

The Deputy Training Programme Director will work closely with the Head of School to improve learner supervision, assessment, and experience. They will also be responsible for engaging faculty, ensuring effective educational outcomes, and developing multi-professional links.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain effective networks with stakeholders at local, regional, and national levels.
  • Collaborate with staff at all levels, practices, and schemes to achieve educational goals.
  • Work with Associate and Deputy Deans, Clinical Faculty, and other Heads of Schools to ensure seamless education delivery.
  • Recruit and manage training posts and programmes, ensuring high standards of education and training.
  • Develop and implement educational programmes to support curriculum competencies.
Person Specification
  • Primary medical qualification or On the Specialist Register.
  • Membership or Fellowship of a College, Faculty, Professional Association, and/or Regulatory Body.
Requirements
  • Experience of working with learners or doctors in training in an educational context.
  • Experience of clinical and educational leadership.
  • Demonstrable track record of delivery in service and education.
