Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical/Counselling Psychologist to join our Learning Disability team, providing support to young people presenting with behaviours of concern and/or mental health needs and their families.

The successful candidate will work alongside other psychologists, LD nurses, OT, SLT, and support workers to provide a comprehensive psychological service to children and young people with a Learning Disability and their families.

Main Duties of the Job

  • To provide specialist psychological assessment for young people referred to the service based on the use of appropriate assessment tools, psychological formulation, and delivery of intervention with young people, their families, and carers and the system around them.
  • To work with colleagues across the BeeU service offering consultation and providing support around psychological formulation.
  • To work autonomously within professional guidelines and the overall framework of the service policies and procedures.
