We are seeking a highly skilled Compliance Analyst to join our Client Monitoring Team at Maples Group - Legal Services in Leeds. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of KYC and AML regulatory obligations, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in legal services or professional services.

About the Role

This exciting opportunity includes reviewing client files under the supervision of the Team Leader and Client Monitoring Manager, ensuring compliance with relevant financial services legislation in the Cayman Islands and BVI. Key responsibilities include:

  • Reviewing client matters within rotational risk review periods or upon triggering events to ensure data, documents, and information remain current and aligned with regulatory requirements.
  • Communicating effectively with internal teams and clients to collect required information in a timely manner.
  • Establishing strong communication lines with lawyers and relevant staff to efficiently handle Know Your Customer (KYC) requests.
  • Escalating high-risk triggers as per policies and procedures, ensuring Enhanced Due Diligence procedures are followed.
  • Entering applicants, clients, and related compliance parties into relevant databases and accurately applying KYC approvals.
  • Reviewing changes to client profiles requiring refreshed KYC and system updates.

  • Advanced understanding of KYC and AML regulatory obligations.
  • Strong attention to detail, ability to work under time constraints, and minimal supervision.
  • Effective communication and client interaction skills.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to learn quickly.
  • Proactive and solutions-driven approach.
  • Knowledge of offshore jurisdictions, specifically the Cayman and British Virgin Islands.
