About the Role

As an Inspiring Academic Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting students' learning and development in a reputable primary school in Northumberland. This position offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on young lives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist teachers in delivering engaging lessons and facilitating students' learning.
  • Provide targeted support to individual students or small groups, addressing their specific learning needs.
  • Help prepare teaching materials and resources to enhance the learning experience.
  • Support teachers in assessing student progress and providing feedback to guide their development.
  • Help maintain a positive and orderly classroom environment, managing behavior effectively.
  • Assist in organizing and supervising extracurricular activities and school events.
Requirements
  • A recent graduate with a degree in Education, Child Development, or a related field.
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills, excellent organizational abilities, and the capacity to manage a classroom effectively.
  • A methodical, understanding, and compassionate approach to helping young students.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to cover various subjects.
  • A passion for education and supporting students' learning progress.
  • An updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).

Essential Information
