About the Role:

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team, working with pupils aged 5-19 with a wide range of learning difficulties and disabilities.

As a member of our team, you will be responsible for supporting children in the classroom to manage their own behavior, engage with tasks set by the class teacher, and reach their potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting pupils with ASC/ASD and comorbid conditions in the classroom
  • Encouraging independence and promoting confidence among students
  • Managing challenging behaviors and promoting positive interactions
  • Carrying out personal care for some pupils

Requirements:

  • Experience of working with pupils with ASC/ASD and comorbid conditions
  • Qualification in teaching or supporting individuals with special educational needs
  • Emotional resilience and ability to manage challenging behaviors
  • Initiative and drive to support pupils' progress and achievement
