Job Title: Senior National Account Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior National Account Manager to join our team at Michael Page Sales. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for managing and growing our dedicated top four grocery accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Account Management: Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key grocery accounts, ensuring optimal placement and promotion of our products in retail outlets.
  • Sales Strategy: Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve and exceed sales targets, driving volume and distribution within account base through new business and NPD.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct market research and analyze consumer trends to identify new opportunities for growth, staying up-to-date with the latest industry developments.
  • Negotiation: Lead negotiations on pricing, contracts, and promotional activities with grocery retailers, leveraging your strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, supply chain, and product development teams to ensure alignment and successful product launches, fostering a collaborative and supportive team environment.
  • Reporting: Monitor and report on sales performance, market trends, and account activities, providing regular updates to senior management.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to grocery accounts, addressing any issues or concerns promptly and professionally, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years experience in national account management within the food and beverage industry, preferably with a focus on grocery accounts.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Skills: Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge: In-depth understanding of the grocery retail environment and consumer trends in the food industry, with a keen eye for market analysis and opportunity identification.
  • Results-Oriented: Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving growth, with a strong focus on delivering results.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel as required to meet with key accounts and attend industry events, with a flexible and adaptable approach to work.
