Job Description

Job Title: Education and Outreach Officer - Primary School Sport and Education

Job Summary:

The Aston Villa Fan Consultation Group is seeking a highly motivated and passionate individual to join our team as an Education and Outreach Officer - Primary School Sport and Education. This role will be responsible for delivering high-quality educational projects and activities in primary schools across the city, focusing on physical education, numeracy, literacy, health, and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality lessons in primary schools, linking to the National Curriculum and using Premier League Primary Stars and Aston Villa branding to engage learners.
  • Support teachers to increase their confidence, knowledge, and skills in delivering high-quality physical education lessons.
  • Deliver the eye health initiative 'Villa Vision' within primary school settings, alongside a specialist eye health team.
  • Develop and implement creative educational projects and activities that meet the needs of primary school students.
  • Mentor and support adults in a coaching or education capacity.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrable experience of working in a school and/or community sports organization.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the National Curriculum for Key Stages 1 and 2.
  • Experience of delivering educational workshops within different environments.
  • Ability to work with whole classes and small group interventions.
  • Capability of mentoring and supporting adults in a coaching or education capacity.
