Birmingham LGBT is seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our community sexual health team as a Sexual Health Outreach Worker.

About the Role:

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic professional to provide sexual health services to the LGBTQ+ community in Birmingham and Solihull. The successful applicant will work closely with our team to develop and deliver a comprehensive sexual health and wellbeing service that meets the unique needs of our community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide sexual health services from our centre and in offsite outreach locations
  • Work collaboratively with our team to reduce the incidence of STI infections and poor sexual health
  • Develop and implement effective outreach strategies to engage with hard-to-reach communities
  • Provide education and support to individuals on sexual health and wellbeing
  • Contribute to the development of our sexual health and wellbeing service

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a similar role or in a related field
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong understanding of LGBTQ+ issues and community needs
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
