Birmingham LGBT is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Sexual Health Outreach Worker to join our community sexual health team.

About the Role:

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to provide sexual health services from our centre and in offsite outreach locations. The successful applicant will work closely with our team to reduce the incidence of STI infections and poor sexual health, and to provide a sexual health and wellbeing service that meets the needs of LGBTQ+ people in Birmingham and Solihull.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide sexual health services from our centre and in offsite outreach locations
  • Work closely with our team to develop and implement effective sexual health programs
  • Collaborate with local healthcare providers to ensure seamless service delivery
  • Conduct outreach and engagement activities to promote sexual health awareness and education
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community partners to enhance service delivery

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a similar role or in a related field
  • Strong knowledge of sexual health issues and community health principles
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility to work a varied schedule, including evenings and weekends
