Job Title: Sexual Health Outreach Worker

Birmingham LGBT is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our community sexual health team as a Sexual Health Outreach Worker. The successful applicant will work towards reducing the incidence of STIs and poor sexual health, and provide and develop a sexual health and wellbeing service that meets the needs of LGBTQ+ people in Birmingham and Solihull.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide sexual health services from the Birmingham LGBT Centre and in off-site outreach locations.
  • Work with the Sexual Health Services Manager to develop and implement effective outreach strategies.
  • Collaborate with local healthcare providers and community organizations to promote sexual health and wellbeing.
  • Conduct outreach and engagement activities to reach marginalized and hard-to-reach populations.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in community outreach and engagement.
  • Strong knowledge of sexual health and wellbeing issues affecting LGBTQ+ communities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
What We Offer:
  • A competitive salary of £24,666 per annum (pro-rata) plus up to 5% matched pension contributions.
  • 25 days' annual leave per annum (pro-rata) plus bank holidays.
