Birmingham LGBT is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Sexual Health Outreach Worker to join our community sexual health team.

About the Role:

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to provide sexual health services from our centre and in off-site outreach locations. The successful applicant will work closely with our team to reduce the incidence of STIs and poor sexual health, and to provide a sexual health and wellbeing service that meets the needs of LGBTQ+ people in Birmingham and Solihull.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide sexual health services from our centre and in off-site outreach locations
  • Work closely with our team to develop and implement effective sexual health strategies
  • Collaborate with local healthcare providers to ensure seamless service delivery
  • Conduct outreach and engagement activities to promote sexual health awareness and education
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local community groups and organizations

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a similar role or in a related field
  • Strong knowledge of sexual health issues and trends
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility to work a rota basis, including evenings and weekends
