Job Title: Sexual Health Outreach Worker

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our community sexual health team as a Sexual Health Outreach Worker. The successful candidate will work towards reducing the incidence of STI infections and poor sexual health, and provide and develop a sexual health and wellbeing service that meets the needs of LGBTQ+ people in Birmingham and Solihull.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide sexual health services from the centre and in offsite outreach locations.
  • Work on a rota basis, including evening and weekend work, and some travel to sites in Birmingham and Solihull.
  • Collaborate with the Sexual Health Services Manager to develop and implement effective sexual health strategies.
  • Contribute to the development of a sexual health and wellbeing service that meets the needs of LGBTQ+ people.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a similar role or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of sexual health issues and services.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

What We Offer:

  • A competitive salary of £24,666 per annum (pro-rata) for 28 hours per week.
  • Up to 5% matched pension contributions.
  • 25 days' annual leave per annum (pro-rata) plus bank holidays.
  • A permanent contract.
